Music is key sometimes. Problem with me is that I don’t find myself motivated by the same old songs time and again. After a while I lose interest in all but my absolute favorites. I’m a new music addict.

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the comment.

I’m completely the same. Most songs get boring after a while. I have maybe 5-10 songs that never seem to get boring. And most of those are on this list. :)

Yay for song lists! I love compiling song lists as well. It’s one of my nerdy habits. My fave song on your list is The Prayer by Anderea & Celine. I think I actually listen to it a dozen times a day. It’s just that when they sing “let this be your prayer, just like every child” my heart swells. Every. Single. Time.

Let the sentiment and nostalgia begin. :)

It’s amazing how music can affect the psyche like it does. Sports teams use it to amp up their players and fans, dentists use it to calm the nerves, etc.

Your list isn’t necessarily “my” type of music, but that’s the beauty of it. We are all affected in different ways by the same songs.

My fav, especially if I’m working in the server room alone or when I am at my desk working alone is “The Chase” by Giorgio Moroder. Nothing gets my pulse pumping like this tune.

I have a few songs that I’d like to recommend - I’m a motivational music junkie!

1. This is a brand new song that will be overplayed soon (hate when the radio stations do that), so enjoy it now! “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus (I’m 30 yrs old, and haven’t been a fan of hers, until now, I was actually a little embarrassed that I like a song by a teenie bopper, haha!)

2. “Anyways” by Martina McBride

3. “Another Place To Fall” by KT Tunstall

Sorry, but I find this list too poppy. While I respect everyone’s choice of music, for me a motivating song has to rock it out or have a decent pace to it.

Some you might want to have a gander at:
*P Diddy - Victory
*Prodigy - Get up get off (or spitfire’s a great tune too)
*Tupac - Changes
*Libertines - Don’t Look Back into the Sun
*The Killers - Bling (Confession of a King)

Although I’d agree with *Eminem - Lose Yourself
*Bon Jovi - It’s My Life
Which are both terrific songs

Personally, while Pop can be melodic and better known many songs lack a decent tempo or a raw edge that heavy metal/rock and rap can.

This song doesn’t actually have lyrics but to me it seems motivational

Life in Technicolor - Coldplay

Some people will probably disagree with me but it sort of sounds like as you go throughout the song it progesses more–makes me want to progress more as I go through life :).
