I’ve compiled this list of seven of my favourite motivational videos. There are many inspirational videos around the Internet, but I tried to keep this list to just the best of the best. The ones that truly move me.

Each of these videos makes me smile, cry, laugh or think. They are in order from my favourite to least favourite, but all should give you a good boost in the right direction.

If any of these videos get removed, please contact me so I can fix them. I don’t bite. Promise.

The List

1. - Challenge Day
This 15 minute snippet of the Emmy award winning documentary showcases how a US based non profit organization transformed the lives of many teenagers and parents by bringing together students and teachers from different backgrounds, different races and different financial classes. The first five minutes is a little slow, but you just wait until they “cross the line”. This video is guaranteed to make you cry.

2. - Team Hoyt
This four minute dedication tells the story of Team Hoyt, a father and son team who are the most inspirational, famous and down-right strongest team to ever take on a triathlon. Son, Rick suffered from birth complications and is unable to walk or talk. However, he and his dad have completed multiple marathons and triathlons together - with a combination of 26.2 miles of running, 112 miles of bicycling and 2.4 miles of swimming.

3. - Randy Pausch Last Lecture
The Late Randy Pausch gained worldwide acclaim with this video and book. He passed away peacefully on July 25, 2008 as a result of a long battle with pancreatic cancer. This 75 minute Last Lecture is the culmination of his career, where, soon after being told he had just a few months of good health remaining, he talks about achieving your childhood dreams. Randy is funny, bright and inspiring. And he even does a few pushups on stage for your viewing pleasure. I once spoke about this lecture as the best 75 minutes of my life. Take an evening to settle down and watch. You won’t regret it!

4. - Unity In Diversity
This two minute Indian commercial is a light hearted look at a young boys desire to move a large tree from a blocked road. His dedication and good attitude inspires a community effort.

5. - Facing the Giants
This motivational sports clip from the movie, “Facing the Giants”, demonstrates how far we can push ourselves when we don’t know how far we’ve gone. The ‘anything is possible’ attitude is alive and kicking in this short video and leaves you wondering just how far you can push yourself to achieve your dreams.

6. - Johnny the Bagger
This is the story of Johnny The Bagger. A bagger at a store who turned a job most would class as worthless in to the best job in town.

7. - Free Hugs Campaign
This is a short film following one mans campaign to brighten up the day of strangers with a simple hug. It starts slow, but I soon found myself smiling and laughing at the results he achieved.

I hope you enjoyed those videos as much I did. :)

Okay, I’ll admit it - my eyes got a little wet from these and I’ve seen most of them.

Awesome picks and I’ve actually been looking into a personal collection of just uplifting media from music to video to text - I think I’ll add the videos.

Thanks!
