Below is a list of my favourite links from the past week in the blogosphere.
Today Is The Best Day Of Your Life. Tomorrow Will Be Too.
Ayomide! gives a fantastic motivational talk on her blog. Ayomide! is a friend of mine, a 16 year old student, and a blogger who is putting out some fantastic content. She aspires to be a motivational speaker and with the type of writing she has demonstrated in this motivational post, I’d say the odds of her achieving her goal are very, very high. Fantastic work, Ayomide!
The Pity Party; Slow-Dancing with Misery
Craig Harper, Australia’s most dysfunctional self-help guru (you said it yourself mate!) tells us to leave the Pity Party. Choice quote… “Okay, so there ain’t too many balloons or laughs at yer typical Pity Party (although cake is often involved) and the objective seems to be more about commiseration than celebration, but a party is a party right?”
Roundup Link Posts Aren’t So Useless After All - 7 Vital Advantages
Gyutae Park shares seven advantages of writing link roundup posts just like this one. Thanks for the interesting post, Gyutae.
Guest Blogging Advantages
John Cow shares what he thinks the advantages are of guest blogging. I’m not sure I agree with all his points, especially the one about emailing bloggers in advance to see if they want a guest post (I’ve found just sending the guest post works best) but it still makes for a very interesting read.
You Do Not Have Because You Do Not Ask
Shannon Lilly shares the results after he simply asked for something. I get so many questions from people asking me “How did you get a guest post at John Chow’s site?”, “How did you do this?”, “How did you do that?”. My answer is always the same. I asked. There’s nothing special to it. Just ask.
My Final Post - Top 9 Lessons in Awesomeness
Hunter Nuttall shares with us his ‘final post’. I Twittered about Randy Pausch’s ‘Last Lecture’ (the most inspiring lecture I’ve ever watched) and having been Randy’s student, Hunter set out to share his ‘Last Post’, writing as though it was his final article. Thanks for the interesting and inspiring post, Hunter.
I hope you enjoy those posts. If you write something you think may be worth sharing, please contact me with a link. Again, just ask.

Jamie, thanks for the mention, but you attributed to me a post that I didn’t write! Just to refresh your memory, the post I put in the URL field is the one you emailed me about.
What’s really weird about this is that I am in fact planning a post exactly on the topic of “you do not have because you do not ask.” However, this one wasn’t mine!
Hunter Nuttall’s last blog post..By: Hunter Nuttall
Ah crap! I had a bunch of articles open and it seems I got confused. Sorry about that, Hunter.
I’ve updated the link and added a link to your article… just how the post was supposed to be.
Thanks for spotting my mistake.
Thanks for adding me to your list, I feel honored!
Shannon Lilly’s last blog post..Narrow Your Focus
No problem, Shannon. I’ve been enjoying your posts recently.
Hey Jamie,
Thanks again for the mention. Are you seeing good results with the round up link posts?
Gyutae Park’s last blog post..11 Steps to Building an Indestructible Authority Site
Hey Jamie,
Finally getting around to checking some of the blogs I read after a format only to find you’ve (also finally :P) updated the site.
Nice to see the new look and the fresh posts. Now I’m an RSS subscriber for a second time.

Ayomide!’s last blog post..If You Don’t Have The Attention Of The Masses, Play The Game To Earn It
