Want a Free Review? SiteVerdict!

13 November, 2007 - Web Design - 6 Comments

Earlier today, a friend referred me to Site Verdict. This new Web site allows you to submit your site for a free rating and review from other members. In order to post your site for review you must complete at least five reviews of other sites.

This certainly isn’t anything new. In fact, Web design forums have had ‘Site Review’ sections for many years. The only way this is different is the site is specifically for reviews. I actually had this very same idea many years ago and I started designing the Web site. Unfortunately, as is the case with so many ideas I have, I never followed through to the end.

If you have recently had your blog redesigned (or not), this is a great way to get some good, constructive reviews.

I submitted my site earlier today. So far it has two reviews. I’m going to be changing my design soon, but out of pure curiosity I wanted to get the opinion of others about this design. I would love to see you sign up and review my site. Registration is free and takes two minutes. If you submit your site, let me know via the comments on this post and I’ll head over there to review it.

Hey! Saw some people coming from this page to siteverdict in my stats logs. Thanks for the mention here. That’s exactly the reason I decided to build the site too, I thought it would be *most* ideal to construct a site specifically for the purpose in order to facilitate more quality reviews. People are beginning to use it though so I’m happy about that. :) Thanks.

Not a problem, Gary.

I hope the site see’s good success.

Out of interest, would you mind sharing where your visitors are coming from? Does it all appear to be word of mouth?

I tried your site, but there was no option to go back and make any changes

They’re coming from a really elaborate web design tutorial that I wrote. My plan was to get the tutorial a lot of traffic, and just promote siteverdict indirectly from it. Working out well so far. :)

That sounds like a good plan to me, Gary. I’m glad it’s going well. :)

Hey Gary - loving the siteverdict site, I mentioned it to Jamie a few days ago and have since then been on it quite a few times, I think the site will really take off.

Thanks for your review too Gary, I’m really feeling that the reviews I have been getting have helped.

So, anyone reading this, its going to be quite a good site, and what’s more, do a few additional reviews and you get to add more of your sites, which I plan to do very soon.
