One banana. Two banana. Three banana. Four. Five banana. Six banana. Seven banana…
…Alright, that’s enough of that. It’s time for an update.
It’s been a month or two since I last wrote on a regular basis, and in that time I’ve done a lot. I’ve been to Ohio and Chicago. I’ve been to Corfu. I’ve joined the gym. I’ve signed myself on to a six month kayak training course and I have done a hell of a lot of partying! Combine all that with a hectic schedule at work, and I’ve been left with very little time to write. But, I’m back now, and I have some exciting posts and interviews lined up for the next couple of weeks.
Since launching the blog back in June (can you believe it’s been that long?!), I’ve posted two stats updates. This is the third, and comes after the extended break of the last two months.
The Stats

5th Phrase: Dropping out of college (8 Visitors)
By far the two posts which receive the most search engine visitors are “Vlog - Unknown facts about self-made billionaires” and “Entrepreneur Requirement - Be a College Dropout”.
Other than my home page, the most popular page, by far, is my “About” page. This has received 478 page views. If you don’t have an about page on your blog, put one up there now! The lack of personality that blogs without an about page have cannot be underestimated.
Traffic Spikes
Here is a graph of the traffic from launch day right up to today.

I have labelled some of the traffic spikes. Here is what they reference.
A. June 19th - Sponsored post by Jane May.
B. July 20th - Post by Steve Farber on his blog about my OS!M.
C. August 8th - My guest post, titled “A Blogger’s Worst Mistake! Routines Count!” on DailyWebIdeas.com
D. August 21st - This looks to be a spike in traffic from Google searches, with the best search term on that day being “jaime - an easy lover on webcam”.
E. October 1st/2nd - This came from WebHostingTalk.com. A thread I posted in a long time ago was brought back to life, only the file I linked to in my post has now been deleted, so everybody clicking on the link ended up at a 404 page on my site, which Google Analytics logged as a visit.
Subscribers
Last but not least, subscription numbers. Over the last 24 hours, 28 people have connected to the site as a subscriber via FeedBurner. Surprisingly, even during my two month break, RSS numbers went up rather than down.
I hope you found all that as interesting as I did.
Tomorrow, I’ll be back to the usual business discussions. This time, I’ll be talking about looking out for the perfect ice breaker when trying to approach potential customers.
P.S. Because I’ve been away so long, I’m beginning to wonder whether any of my readers are actually out there. Feel free to post a random comment to this post just to let me know you’re all still alive.
Until tomorrow…

Ha! Wondered if you where still alive, here’s an ice breaker NOT to use when meeting a client for the first time;
Me: “hi, I’m Tjobbe, I don’t think your neighbour likes me, he just asked me to move my car in a very grumpy tone!”
Client: “That’s not my neighbour, that’s my husband”
Me: “I’ll get my coat”
Actually, it did lead to a sale in the end, the client saw the funny side!
