I just launched the Web site that I spoke about in my new business in ten minutes post.
BlogAdReviews.com does exactly what it says on the tin. After purchasing my review from Jane May last month, I saw a hole in the blogosphere for a Web site where advertisers could come together and write reviews about their latest advert on blogs. Often, blogs have many different advertising channels such as paid Web site reviews, text link ads, banner ads and sponsored posts. BlogAdReviews will allow all those advertisers to write about their experience with each advertising method, on each blog. How many visitors did you receive? How many converted to RSS subscribers? How much did your review cost, and did you make a return on investment? BlogAdReviews will (hopefully) reveal all and finally there will be one place where advertisers can compare suppliers to decide where the best place is for them to advertise.
Feel free take a look at the about page for a more detailed review of how BlogAdReviews came about (It happened to be John Chow who sparked me in to action).
I’ll be emailing a few top bloggers very soon to invite them to ask their readers to write their reviews. Kevin, Jane, John… if you’re reading, keep your inbox open over the next hour.
Tomorrow, I’ll tell you all how an idea in my head turned in to a Web site and business in four hours!

Looks great Jamie!
Thanks Tyler.
http://www.blogadreviews.com does have a large niche and will definitely be successful. Good luck
Thanks Jason. Hopefully you’re right.
It’s turned in to a little link bait material already, what with your post on your blog and Kevin over at BloggingTips.
Maybe Jane May and John Chow will follow your lead.
[...] created a site called http://www.BlogAdReviews.com. He also wrote about the site in this article - JamieHarrop.com. The site shows a lot of potential and will definitely find a large amount of niche visitors. [...]
Very interesting. I’ve looked into buying posts but never took the plunge. How do you find time to actually get any work done?
The answer to that question is quite simple, Nick…
I don’t get any work done.
That’s why I’m scraping every last penny out of the chair so I have enough money for my trip to Ohio and Chicago next week.
Maybe you should sell sponsored blog posts.
You could sell your body, that’s gotta be worth a few cents.
HostingCon is already here eh, time freakin flies. BTW London is looking good for our honeymoon!
I’ll probably sell sponsored reviews later down the line, but for now I want to keep advertising to a minimum on this site. I would rather get a solid reader base before I start thinking about advertising.
I’ve had a couple of requests for text links, so maybe I’ll introduce them in to this blog and BlogAdReviews.
London eh? Awesome! Just make sure you add a couple days in Northern England to your schedule, because I’m a good five hour drive from London.
Cool idea Jamie. I am going to keep an eye on this one, and hopefully find time to get involved!
Thanks Chris.
Already I’m seeing the hardest part of the site is going to be getting people to write reviews. A few incentives here and there wouldn’t hurt!
Hopefully a few more bloggers will pick up the story and write about it.
Hey Jamie, your new website looks great. A very unique concept IMO.
Thanks Russell.
